Terms of Service
Effective October 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BounceHound, an email verification service operated by Two Cases LLC (“Two Cases LLC,” “we,” “us”), including our website, dashboard, REST API and MCP server (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so.
1. The Service
BounceHound checks email addresses and reports whether they are likely deliverable. We run our own checks (syntax, typo detection, disposable and role-address detection, and DNS/MX lookups) and use third-party verification providers for mailbox-level checks. You can use the Service through the dashboard, the REST API, or AI agents connected through our MCP server.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity through your API keys.
- Tell us promptly at support@bouncehound.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Credits, pricing and payments
- The Service is prepaid with credits. One credit is used for each email address that reaches a mailbox-level check. Addresses that fail our free local checks, and results returned as “unknown,” do not use a credit.
- Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains open.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in US dollars and may change in the future; changes never affect credits you have already purchased.
- Credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or where we decide otherwise at our discretion (for example, a duplicate charge). Contact us within 30 days of a charge you believe is in error.
- Free or promotional credits have no cash value and may be withdrawn if misused.
- Credits are not transferable between accounts and cannot be exchanged for cash.
4. API keys, the API and the MCP server
- Keep API keys secret. Anyone with your key, including an AI agent you connect, can use your credits. You can revoke keys at any time from the dashboard.
- You are responsible for actions an AI agent or automation takes using your key, and for reviewing its output before relying on it.
- We may apply rate limits and usage limits to protect the Service.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and only for legitimate purposes. You must not:
- Verify addresses you obtained unlawfully, or use results to send spam or messages that violate anti-spam or privacy laws such as CAN-SPAM, the GDPR, CASL or the TCPA.
- Use the Service to harass, stalk or harm anyone, or to build lists for fraud or phishing.
- Probe, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass the Service's security, limits or billing.
- Resell or white-label the Service, or use it to build a competing service, without our written permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate this section.
6. Your data
You keep all rights to the email addresses and lists you submit (“Customer Data”). You confirm you have the right to submit them and to have them checked. You grant us permission to process Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Customer Data.
7. Accuracy of results
Verification results are estimates based on how mail servers respond at the time of the check. Mail servers can change, block checks, or accept all addresses (“catch-all”). We do not guarantee that any address marked valid will receive mail, or that any address marked invalid cannot.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Clerk (sign-in), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments) and email verification providers. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms may apply to you where you interact with them directly, such as Stripe Checkout.
9. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design and branding. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or others. If we close your account without cause, we will refund unused purchased credits at the price you paid. Credits are forfeited if we close an account for breach of these Terms.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Two Cases LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, sender reputation or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Two Cases LLC against claims, losses and costs arising from your Customer Data, your email campaigns, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Two Cases LLC is organized and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in that state will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
